Let's see how many parents they fool into this program
Heard lots of rumblings about movement in the 08B group in and around Elk Grove. More rumblings about a certain club getting smaller by the second. Should make for an interesting year...
Please, do tell about what you know. What about the 08B group and which club got smaller?
I was very much out of the tryout scene this time round. Oldest is out finally! Daughter's team definitely improved adding new players with so many players for her age at IR tryouts. Heard around 60 for her age group I was told! Since my son is out now done I don't really know much about the Sac U tryouts, I heard those tryouts were a bit better than usual on the boys side. Anyone have an overall view regarding the tryout scene in and around EG?
Based on what I observed, the 08B group was very strong at IR and smaller at FC Elk Grove. It seemed like IR had a lot of kids at the youngers tryouts. Makes sense since they have quite a few high performing teams at the younger ages. Some of the best in the area. Interesting to see if they can hold on to them or if they will "pull an FC" as well. So FC numbers down...again. Blackhawks and Elk Grove United, steady but very low overall. IR saw an increase. This, of course, is just one person's take.
Paying a CEO of some local soccer club to travel to Switzerland to film a video to sell the importance of additional training hours is only made funnier that dude is wearing a $3 t-shirt. Guess funds are super tight in the Grove right now. Glad to see after 5 years of trying to swindle EGUSD he finally sealed the deal. I said it before dude is the Music Man and can sell a blind man designer sunglasses!
Dude struggles to get his staffs kids into community college yet he knows development.
FC numbers down a lot as lots of 07B and 08B left for other clubs. Seems like that DA thing didn't work so great for FC. Wondering what is going to happen for the olders for FC as well. That fantastic olders 02G team has already lost a player to go to San Juan. All it usually takes is one or two and a whole team starts to fall apart.
Meat Comes First has it down right. Overall, FC got smaller as lots of kiddos and parents left, BlackHawks continues to gain numbers at a slow and steady rate. IR went beast mode and has grown a ton this year. Hopefully IR and BlackHawks will take note of the crappy way the CEO for FC has ruined the club and not make the same mistakes.
Beware of EGU coach Dusty H. caught cheating with soccer mom on 04G Team. Moms be ware of replacement coach Aaron. We left and found a home outside of EG for that reason. Drama in EG never ends.
Can't stop true love!!
Poor defenseless 04G mom. Preyed upon by the suave soccer coach. Was it for the power? The riches? More playing time for their kid? Elk Grove soccer has plenty of drama but this guys wasn't trying to get with one of the girls, the soccer mom is just as much to blame on this one. I don't see her name...only the coach's. I see a made for TV movie coming soon...

Let's recap, EGU Everton DOC caught with minor for sexual acts, EGU President and Treasurer collecting backdoor $$ and just recent EGU coach doing the dirty deed with a soccer mommy. To answer your question I do do not know the mommy's name. I'm sure it will be on Season 3 episode 1

what does that say about the "culture" over there and those that continue to go there???
Regarding the info for EGU-it doesn't need to be on here. There is more than just the coach involved here. They all have families and kids. They don't deserve this. Be respectful. This wasn't on the news, there isn't an ongoing investigation because of the kids getting hurt like the EGU DOC event.
A decent point I guess.
I didn't know EGU had a DOC? How does a club exist in Norcal without a DOC? They claim to have one? Who?
Looking the their website I see 4-5 coaches listed for 19 teams! One "coach" is listed for 8 teams! Embarrassing.
No DOC listed. No board members listed. No clue!
The EGU DOC incident, not sure that he was the DOC, but he was a coach and this happened a few years ago. The coach did go to prison.
Don't know if this happened here, but I was involved in a team (different sport) where the coach and a Mom hooked up. The Mom was married and it didn't go over very well with the husband. It went over worse with the kids, though, as they were completely embarrassed. The coach lost his job at the HS (where Mom was booster parent president of the sport) but remained the coach of the club. The kids didn't return to the sport, and we had some very awkward conversations with our kids.
After seeing it go down like it did, I got to say, its nothing like the "movies"...you know, where the plumber comes in to fix the sink and, while he is half under the cabinet, the super hot mom says "can I unplug your pipe?" I guess ugly people need strange too. But if you are going to chase OPP, maybe do it somewhere besides youth athletics?
BTW, was it Maverick that was allegedly Goosin' the moms?
You left because of Dusty or because of Aaron.
Aaron is a great coach with a proven track record. The end.
