SJ 2006 team is pretty "stacked" and just blew out the 2005 cougars today at Nat Cup in Davis. Not sure what happened, if Cougars are at half roster or something. Curious to see what happens tomorrow but makes the pool messed up as Cougars are typically a solid team.

Many San Juan teams are at us club regionals in Davis,. Maybe that event couldn't get enough teams to make sense? Not sure

Yes that 06 team is very good but I know many teams are not at full strength this weekend. With school just out for many, some families go away and come back for July soccer.

SF Elite Academy 05 blew out SJ 06 yesterday. That was a surprise to me as SJ 06 usually don't lose, even when they are playing up. I don't recall every seeing a score where they got beat by 3 goals. SFEA must be a pretty solid NPL squad.

SFEA can be solid. The made it to the finals of State Cup after all. But per a coach I respect, he said watching the game was like the score was opposite and SFEA had some wonky good luck. SJ's goalie needs to grow a few more inches! Unfortunately, I hear that the SJ's center mid tore her ACL from a hard tackle. Hope she heals quick and makes it back 100%.

The tournament was postponed. This was the message from the tournament coordinator:

"Thank you for applying to our Jr. Cal Cup Boys Weekend tournament, we appreciate your support. Unfortunately, due to a few uncontrollable circumstances, we will be postponing our Jr. Cal Cup Girls & Boys Weekends to later this year. We have haven't finalized the dates, but we are looking at late September, late October or early December. I hope this will not be an inconvenience for you, but with tryouts being pushed back later this year, there simply isn't enough time to do it right."
