wow USD is a surprise. He's had a successful long tenure there.

What will happen to his verbals? It's not like he gets blue chip recruits. Could be a blessing for some and curse for others. NEw coach may want to clean house which is what I expect at a mid major school.

Yeah, I think the last few years was on the hot seat though. It's a good job for sure.

Always hard for incoming recruits when changes happen. Better play well when the coaches comes to see you play! Most kids usually get 1 year at the school to prove they can hang or not. It's rare they say goodbye before you enroll but it does happen

No question Clarke (St. Mary's) will be on the hot seat if he has another bad year. He's safe for now.

I bet the mailbox will be stuffed with USD job applicants. San Diego is a great place and the location and school recruit on their own.

    - Gonzaga University Athletic Director Mike Roth announced Wednesday that the contract of women's soccer Head Coach Amy Edwards has not been renewed. GU's Senior Associate Director of Athletics Shannon Strahl will initiate a search for her successor.

Tina Estrada leaves st. Mary’s to join San Jose State. Perhaps she knows what is coming if she stayed?

I can see leaving for a better school or conference, but I'm not sure that the MWC is better than the WCC. Perhaps she did see the writing on the wall or maybe it's that she's plugged with Thorns. All I can say is that I know a lot of 18-20 kids who have committed to her at SMC. Maybe she was gonna get canned (can't imagine why) or thought the grass is greener...It may well be...

I believe she left because she knows Travis will be canned after this coming year and she would be out of a job. She took made a smart proactive move to SJSU where things are going up. Plus it’s close to where she coaches at the thorns. Makes sense to me. I wonder if SMC willl start losing commits now.....they must be wondering what’s going on.
