Is the $3600 fully loaded, meaning including “team fee” for tournaments and team functions?

Also, for what age group is this? My kid’s club has higher fees for olders.

If just for club fees, then my kid's ECNL club charges between roughly $2000 to $3000 depending on age group.

Team fees probably total another $1500-2000 depending on how many tournaments and other team functions we do.

The DA travel is killer. ECNL not much better IF you go far in playoffs. That's the boiling point for me. Not sure if it was Quakes or someone else but I went over the trips a few months ago and it was insane.Something like so cal 3x, Northwest 2x, North Carolina, Florida, and Utah. At least 4k more I'd guess and that's being kind. Will it be more with less nor cal teams? Hopefully not. For me that's one of the biggest issues of elite youth soccer in America and keeping costs reasonable.

I feel for a NPL or higher team the normal yearly is 3k or so on average. A few clubs include everything but travel in those fees. Other clubs have it lower but doesn't include tournaments which adds probably 80$ per kid for each showcase.

My kid’s club fees for her ECNL team are around $2500 for the year. The team fees for league/tournament costs, coaches travel, etc. add another $1200, but that includes their team playing in both ECNL and NPL.

I think for a DA club it was about 500/league trip of which there were 5 and then for olders 3 showcases in FL (Dec), NC (April), San Diego (June). Assume about 1500 for those 3 weeks. Travel budget would then be about 7K. Then the club fee was about 3K for the year. All in all a budget of about 10K. Not 100% sure of what the trainings for the 3K includes other than the 4 days of training.

For the 1200 how many tournaments is that and where are they? Is that just the 2 ECNL events in Phoenix or does that include the 2 Phoenix trips and the 1 (at least seems like for Cal North) trip to WA or CO. Or does that include Surf, Phoenix X2, ECNL nationals.

This past year, we did Surf, Ecnl fall showcase, Las Vegas Players showcase, ecnl spring showcase, a weekend trip to WA for 2 league games, ecnl playoffs, and ecnl finals. Fees covered tourney registration, coaches travel, games videos, etc. Player/family travel costs were not part of those fees.

So rounding what were about the costs for the player to travel to those events, if you don't mind reporting. about 3700 before travel costs for family

It depends. Our club does not do group travel where the kids travel as a team with chaperones, but we can request to send our player with another family and share cost. This costs about $500 for the trip.
One parent travelling with their player to a 3-day tournament on the west coast costs at least $1000 for the trip.
I'd say the average family on our team probably forked out $6000 in travel this year since most players traveled with at least one parent to these events, plus the fact that our team made the playoffs which was 5 days and the finals which was all the way in Virginia.

If you really want to know the skinny about USSF soccer financials, take a look at the Audited Financial Statement, 2017. Mind-blowing! $10 million a year in revenue for Registration and Affiliation Fees: 75% of that from Youth and Referee...paid for by the backs of stupid parents (us) chasing a pipe dream...
