Picking up on this thread. Spring league was interesting - Placer, Rage, MVLA and West Coast playing u14 - and holding their own vs. the older kids. Beyond ECNL, didn't see much play from San Juan following their State Cup triumph. EQ looks like did some traveling and had success. How'd tryouts go -any big changes, new coaches? Tournament season ahead. Sounds like MVLA, Rage, Blues, and Thorns in for Surf. And West Coast in Hawaii for Far Regionals. Good luck Wildkatz!

Interesting to see the San Juan 05 coach win a State Cup and go to Placer the following month.

DA clubs playing their 05s up on their DA team...

If they play full time they of course could not also play for the 05s.

Placer looks like 2 05 girls played games with their U14 DA team (only 5 total games played between them). One is listed as full time though it seems they have not played much if any in the Spring.

PSV it looks like 4 05 girls played full time through out the Fall and Spring season with their U14 DA team

Thorns lists no 05s on their U14 DA team roster so it looks like the 05s played with the 05 team during Fall and Spring and did not play with the DA team.

Quakes looks like 5 05 girls played full time in the Spring with the U14 DA team. Looks Quakes they played 6-7 or so 05 players per game consistently in the Spring with the DA team.

    ====

What 05 (to be U14) teams are playing in Surf and which are playing in Surf DA group?

(where did you find the surf teams list?)

MrSmith! Are you the 04/05 manager who payrolls that whole quakes coaching staff? Can I join your staff so I can have a free trip out of the country. I'll make sure your favorite 05's plays up on your buddies team. Some of those 05's are Awesome but some are... well you know what I mean. Ask those 04 parents what they think about some of those 05's playing up! Hope to see you around in league - oh wait we'll be playing ECNL. Good luck this year though....

It looks like for the ECNL League San Juan finished first with 23 points, Rage finished second with 21 points, Mustang finished third with 13 points, and Santa Rosa was tied for fourth with MVLA with 10 points each. I heard that Davis picked up a strong forward from Placer, Rage had a few new additions, and Mustang might have picked up a new player, but not 100% sure.

Which teams are going to Surf? Seems like a lot of depth at the 05 age group!!

Haha wow so worked up!! That's hilarious!! Yes Grandpa I will listen to what you say, haha!!
I'm not sure if you were able to read and comprehend exactly what I said. I said that I HEARD that Davis picked up a forward from Placer. Going in to more details I HEARD that Davis in the Spring Season picked up a forward maybe #24 that came over from Placer. So after you stop crying and collect yourself maybe you can realize the difference.

Davis picked up several good players in the Spring/tryouts... but I'm not even aware of a #24 on that roster.

They didn’t look that good with the additional players at National Cup!

I'd be inclined to give them a pass since half the roster is new and, if I'm not mistaken, they had all of 2 practices before the tournament. They went 2 and 1... gave up 1 goal in 3 matches and lost to eventual champions Thorns, 1-0.

With only 2 practices then that makes sense. However- that tournament really didn’t have any top teams but yes still good outcomes for Davis.

Davis picked up 2 or three players from SJ (coaching drama in 05s?). All solid players!

    From what I've seen -
    Quakes
    San Juan
    West Coast
    Santa Rosa
    Rage
    Odyssey
    Thorns
    Blues
    Davis
    Placer

    All at Surf.

    DA: Quakes, Placer, Thorns
Super Black: Rage/WC/SJ/Cal Ody (all should make top bracket per YSR). Good showing from NorCal.

I find it interesting that the Heat ECNL team out of Las Vegas is in the White DA bracket for u14Girls. I thought DA teams only played other DA teams.

I believe that was a TBD yesterday. Maybe needing just a single team they offered the format to a nonDA team.
